Spotlight On - Fletcher's Fund

Leanne from Fletcher's Fund has been working with us for a number of years.  Their website was designed with inspiration from their logo and branding, which was designed by the very talented Claire Armstrong from www.bigbeansdesign.co.uk

Introduce your business in no more than 2 sentences:Fletcher's Fund is a small local childhood cancer charity, specialising in art and play therapy. We are nationally registered, but based in Carlisle and family run, in Fletcher's memory.

How long have you been in business for?
Fletcher died in March 2017, and we obtained our charitable status in May 2017, so Fletcher's Fund has existed for almost 3 and a half years.

What do you enjoy most about what you do?
Making a difference to kids with cancer. Giving Fletcher a legacy. The variety of my day and week. The creativity and control over decisions. Being a part of an amazing team, but essentially being my own boss on day-to-day basis. So the vast majority of it?!

Who or what inspired you?
Fletcher, my first-born son. Cooper and Archer, our other sons. Every kid with cancer. Other charities of all sizes. Knowing our why inside and out and being ambitious and brave enough to turn the why into action.

Tell us something about you that is not related to your business:
I am a southerner! I moved to Carlisle from Milton Keynes in 2008 to go to University of Cumbria to study primary teaching. Life happened, and I didn't actually ever enter the teaching profession, although I do have my degree. After uni, I never left Carlisle, and now I'm married to a Cumbrian!

In no more than three sentences, let us know why you chose to work with Light Bulb Web Design and what this has meant for your business:
We needed a new website and Chris was recommended by lots of people. We had a peek on websites that we knew he had created and liked what we saw. Then, after sitting down with him, it was clear that he was the person for us!
